Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) is expanding its support for foreign entrepreneurs looking to enter the Korean market. In collaboration with the Global Startup Center (GSC), operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the company will provide a comprehensive pathway ranging from crowdfunding education to the launch of actual funding projects.

WadizOn the 3rd, GSC held a “GSC Industry Workshop” at its facility for foreign entrepreneurs residing in Korea, under the theme “Launch in Korea with Crowdfunding.” Since its opening one year ago, GSC has served as a hub for supporting foreign entrepreneurs, welcoming and assisting approximately 7,000 global entrepreneurs from over 100 countries. This year, it launched the “Industry Workshop” to help foreign entrepreneurs effectively execute their business plans.

Crowdfunding was selected as the theme for the first session, and the Wadizwas responsible for the entire process, from program planning to the delivery of lectures and hands-on training. Approximately 30 foreign entrepreneurs from 18 countries, including India, France, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom, participated in this workshop.

This program is designed to help foreign entrepreneurs utilize crowdfunding as a practical means of entering the market as they launch their businesses in Korea and reach their first customers. Based on success stories from overseas makers, participants engaged in hands-on exercises to design their own project introductions, rewards, and pricing. The program also introduced “WAi,” an AI agent that assists with multilingual translation and storywriting, as well as the global support infrastructure provided by Wadiz, including certification, logistics, and marketing. This system is designed to help foreign entrepreneurs reduce the burdens of language and local networking, and to prepare them for the entire process—from presenting their ideas to Korean consumers to securing actual funding—as a seamless journey.

Participants also responded positively. Vinod Kumar S., an entrepreneur from India, said, “I felt that Wadizis a suitable platform for early-stage entrepreneurs looking to start with a single product,” adding, “I am seriously considering using Wadiz to enter the Korean market.” Raj Hemant, also from India, remarked, “Through this workshop, I was able to confirm the potential of my product in the Korean market and gain a clearer understanding of how to prepare for crowdfunding,” adding, “This will be of practical help as I prepare to launch my own funding campaign in the future.”

For participating teams that wish to launch a funding campaign after the workshop, we plan to provide follow-up support—including matching them with a project director (PD) from Wadiz and offering consultation on joining the platform—to help them successfully launch their projects.

Wadiz An official stated, “For foreign entrepreneurs, crowdfunding is an effective way to quickly reach Korean consumers, verify market potential, and secure an early following,” adding, “Starting with this collaboration with GSC, we will continue to expand relevant partnerships and support programs to help global entrepreneurs enter the Korean market more easily.”
