Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) will hold its third “Sammu Bookstore” publishing exhibition from October 19 to November 1. Following the exhibitions held in 2025 and the first half of 2026, this fall’s event will highlight the “names” of the creators behind the works.
Sammu Bookstore is a special exhibition designed to allow a diverse range of works and creators to connect with readers, regardless of their name recognition or past sales performance. The third edition of Sammu Bookstore, under the slogan “No discrimination, no inventory, no prejudice—a bookstore where everyone’s name is remembered,” shines a light not only on the works themselves but also on the individual creativity and craftsmanship they embody, as well as the names of their creators. Spanning over 20 categories—from books, e-books, and classes to crafts, IP merchandise, stationery, and tech—the exhibition is organized into four sections: △The Writer’s Bookshelf, △The Artisan’s Workshop, △The Artist’s Studio, and △The Chronicler’s Desk.
A total of 265 funding projects participated in the two themed campaigns held in 2025 and the first half of 2026, with a cumulative total of 240,000 supporters—including those who made payments, subscribed to notifications, signed petitions, or added projects to their watchlists. The cumulative funding amount reached approximately 4.3 billion won, with nine projects each raising over 100 million won. The number of paying supporters in 2026 increased by 41% compared to 2025, and 42% of the projects participating in the 2026 special events were first unveiled on Wadiz.
The project that raised the most funding was the Korean edition of “Simpson World,” the official guidebook to the animated series “The Simpsons.” This project, which comprehensively covers all 450 episodes of “The Simpsons” spanning 20 years, raised approximately 420 million won. Other projects that raised over 100 million won included a collection of drawings personally created by world-renowned garden designer “Piet Oudolf” and “Masterpieces of Korean Folk Painting,” a compilation of 170 representative Korean folk paintings.
Wadiz An official stated, “Sammu Bookstore is a place where you can discover new names that will be remembered for years to come,” adding, “We believe that the works and culture we love today are ultimately the result of the collective efforts of countless creators. This time, we will support more creators so they can connect with readers under their own names and use that experience as a springboard for their next challenges.”
The third Sammu Bookstore event will run from October 19 through November 1 and offer special event coupons worth up to 7,000 won. Applications from makers wishing to participate in the event will be accepted until October 12; interested makers can find more details at the Maker Center on Wadiz.
