– From October 19 to November 15… Books ranging from emerging authors to masters of art, drama, and literature, all in one place
– Exclusive release of Yoo Hong-jun’s “My Cultural Heritage Field Guide” Best Edition
– Last April, 42% of participating authors reached readers through their first crowdfunding campaign on Wadiz … Expanding new publishing opportunities

Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.io) announced that it will hold the publishing and creative exhibition “Sammu Bookstore” from October 19 to November 15 and unveiled its major projects. Having raised a cumulative total of 4.3 billion won over its first two events, Sammu Bookstore will showcase its first-ever script collection, limited-edition anthologies, and author support projects at its third exhibition. Through crowdfunding, readers can acquire copies of their favorite books and support new creative endeavors.

On the 19th, the first day of the event, the “Mikkot Typeface” Master Edition by calligraphy artist Mikkot and the uncut writer’s cut script collections for Seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the drama “Yumi’s Cells” will make their debut. The “Mikkot Typeface” will expand the joy of handwriting through the “Mikkot Typeface Print Shop,” which prints any desired sentence in the Mikkot Typeface, and new VOD lectures. The “Yumi’s Cells” script collection includes interviews with the writer and actors, allowing fans to delve deeper into the drama’s story.

Also launching on the same day is a collection of Lee Jung-seop’s works—the first-ever “Complete Works of Lee Jung-seop” in Korea, which compiles 30 years of research by art historian Choi Yeol. Produced in a limited edition of 1,000 copies to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Lee Jung-seop’s birth and the 70th anniversary of his passing, it will be exclusively available at Wadiz. On the 23rd, the Park Kyung-ni X Cheon Kyung-ja “Land” Art Edition will be unveiled to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Park Kyung-ni’s birth.

Next up are the reprint project for Heo Young-man’s comic *Gaksital* and Bulkwang Publishing’s “Now I Understand” series. On the 30th, Changbi will release its edition of Hwang Sok-yong’s short stories, followed in November by the complete works of J. R. R. Tolkien and Yoo Hong-jun’s *My Cultural Heritage Field Guide* Wadiz in a special “Best Edition” series.

A total of 265 projects participated in the past two Sammu Bookstore events, raising a cumulative total of 4.3 billion won, with 10 of those projects each raising over 100 million won. Forty-two percent of the creators who participated in the Sammu Bookstore campaign held this past April were first-time fundraisers on Wadiz, making Sammu Bookstore a platform where new creators can connect with readers. By securing demand and funding in advance through crowdfunding, creators can reduce the burden of excess inventory and prepare for their next creative project.

Heo Ji-eun, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Wadiz, said, “Readers’ desire to cherish a work of literature serves as the driving force for authors to create their next works,” adding, “We will continue to expand our platform so that authors can consistently take on new creative challenges and readers’ discoveries can lead to sustained creative output.”

Meanwhile, Sammu Bookstore is accepting applications from participating makers until October 31; further details can be found on the Maker Center website at Wadiz.
