Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.io) announced that the 22 companies participating in the “2026 Gyeonggi Region Climate Tech Crowdfunding Support Program” raised approximately 200 million won and attracted about 4,000 supporters. Wadizprovided support ranging from funding preparation to promotion and operations, helping participating companies launch their products to the market more easily and quickly and gauge consumer response.
The project was first launched last year in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Regional Office of SMEs and Startups and the Seongnam Industrial Promotion Agency, and this year, the Yongin City Industrial Promotion Agency joined the initiative. Wadizprovided support ranging from funding education to the creation of product detail pages, customized advertising, exposure in special promotions, and coupon issuance, all aimed at reducing the burden on participating companies in producing online content and preparing for marketing.
Approximately 120 climate tech and social venture companies applied for this support program, and 22 were ultimately selected based on criteria such as product innovation and business viability. The participating companies showcased a variety of products in the beauty, tech, and living sectors through platforms such as Wadiz and the “Earth-Friendly Living” special exhibition, and assessed their market potential based on feedback from supporters.
The beauty brand “Olgo” launched a solid shampoo bar made from pine cones—which had previously been discarded by pine nut farms in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province—on Wadiz, raising 690% of its funding goal. Using patented raw material technology, the brand repurposed forest byproducts as ingredients for scalp care and packaged the highly concentrated, low-water-content solid formula in unbleached recycled paper. The product is certified vegan and can be used without plastic containers.
“Yozum Saram Co., Ltd.” has introduced “The D-Butler,” an AI-powered scheduling device designed to last for years, as an alternative to paper calendars that are replaced every year. The device features an outer case made from 90% recycled plastic and an e-ink display that consumes power only when the screen is refreshed. Its first Wadiz crowdfunding campaign reached 793% of its funding goal.
WadizChoi Dong-cheol, CEO of Impact, said, “The purpose of this initiative is to help companies with great products avoid hesitating to enter the market due to challenges in content creation and marketing.” He added, “We will continue to collaborate with organizations to support climate tech and social venture companies so they can reach consumers more easily and quickly, and use their funding experience as a springboard for their next challenges.”
