– White Jade Jewelry Sales Surpass 400 Million… “Heritage” Items with Stories and Rarity, Such as Traditional Liquor and National Heritage Bricks, Gain Attention
– “Wellness and Home Economy” products, which prioritize health management and lifestyle convenience, are also being selected across the board
– “Autumn Bounty Warehouse” runs through the 30th… Showcasing a wide variety of items, from Chuseok gifts to fall season products
Wadiz(CEO Shin Hye-seong, www.wadiz.kr) announced on the 10th that it had analyzed this year’s Chuseok gift-giving trends based on data from its “Autumn Bounty Warehouse” promotional event, which showcases Chuseok gifts and fall season products.
The analysis revealed that the following are the major trends: ▲ “Heritage,” which emphasizes the traditions and stories behind products; ▲ “Wellness,” which focuses on health management in daily life; and ▲ “Homeconomy,” which enhances convenience and efficiency in daily life. This demonstrates that even in the familiar holiday gift market, products with unique stories and practicality can tap into new demand and confirm market potential.
The most notable keyword is “heritage.” A jewelry collection that reinterprets domestically sourced white jade in modern designs has surpassed 400 million won, currently holding the highest funding total in the exhibition. In the food category, “Grape Honey Liquor”—which incorporates a decade of research and expertise in honey liquor—and a limited edition of 300 bottles of “Handcrafted Andong Soju” brewed by a master artisan drew significant interest. A crowdfunding project recreating Silla National Heritage sites using building blocks also attracted attention. It is believed that the unique stories behind these products—including long-standing craftsmanship, cultural significance, and the rarity of limited editions—were key factors in supporters’ decisions.
There was also evidence of growing demand for “wellness” products designed to make it easy to manage one’s health in everyday life. Representative examples include candies made with 100% Manuka honey, “Veggie Fit”—a product containing a high concentration of organic vegetables—and “Wild Ginseng Cultured Root Pills,” developed by a traditional Korean medicine doctor. This reflects a consumer trend toward choosing holiday gifts that prioritize both health and convenience.
“Home-conomy” products designed to ease the burden of household chores also stood out. Products that reduce the effort required for cooking, storage, and cleaning—including frozen food storage containers (which attracted over 7,000 pre-order sign-ups), an induction pressure cooker specifically designed for cooking rice in a pot, and an electric squeegee for cleaning bathrooms and windows—were widely selected.
Wadiz An official stated, “The trend of selecting holiday gifts tailored to the recipient’s tastes and lifestyle is becoming increasingly pronounced,” adding, “Wadizis a platform where users can discover new products and ideas that aren’t yet widely known before anyone else, and verify their market potential through the actual choices made by supporters. We will continue to expand opportunities for supporters seeking new discoveries to connect with makers introducing innovative products.”
Meanwhile, the " Wadiz: Autumn Harvest Warehouse" event will run through September 30, and special coupons for the event are also available.
